Remove the two plastic tailgate trim covers at the top of the CR-V with a flat head screwdriver wrapped in a towel. Be careful not to chip or scratch the paint while doing so.

Place the template, supplied with the spoiler, over the parts of the car where the tailgate trim covers were removed. Make sure it is flush with the sides and tailgate seam.

Mark the drill holes for the spoiler, using the template and a marker.

Drill the four holes for the spoiler with a drill and drill bit. The size of the drill bit you will need depends on the type of spoiler you are installing. Check the manufacturer's instructions for the drill bit size.

Place the spoiler over the holes that you drilled then mark the spot for the center hole of the spoiler.

Remove the spoiler and drill the center hole.

Place a rubber seal around the center hole followed by a jack nut.

Attach another rubber seal to the area around the center hole of the spoiler.

Bolt the spoiler onto the CR-V with the bolts provided and a socket wrench.

Install the provided screw into the center hole with a Phillips head screwdriver.
