How to Make Remote Controlled Mini Airplanes

Remote-control airplanes can be great projects for parents to make with their children, but there are also more professional competitions between adults for flying model airplanes. There are hundreds of types of remote-control airplanes that you can build, from simple airplanes a child can make with almost no help, to intricate designs that can have even the most experienced airplane craftsman puzzled.

Choose the type of remote-control airplane you would like to make. There are many options available and what you choose can depend on your skills, your budget, or the available space to build an airplane.

Clear a work space that is warm and dry to avoid warping of the airplanes. The space needs to be accommodating for the size of the plane you are trying to build.

    • 3

Sand all the parts of the body to make sure that they are smooth and will be able to fly without problems.

    • 4

Assemble the remote-control airplane. Make sure to assemble the engine and electronics pieces first and then build the body around them.

Paint the airplane with an airbrush to make sure that the plane is evenly coated in paint. Once the paint is dry, you can take the airplane out for a test run.
