Specifications for the LS4 454 Engine

    • The LS4 is a performance-focused eight-cylinder motor produced by General Motors and is used, as of 2010, in cars such as the Chevy Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS, and Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. The LS4 motor is a part of GM's "LS" line of motors. Modified throughout the years since its initial introduction in the 1970's, the LS4 continues to be used in modern GM sports cars.

    Technical Specs

    • Sized at 5.3 liters, the LS4 is a small block V-8 engine with a 325 cubic inch displacement. Its compression ratio is 10:1 and it features two valves per cylinder which utilize hydraulic rollers as lifters. The motor's respective bore and stroke are 96 and 92 mm.
