What are the Gaggenau AH900 Extractor Specifications?

    • Gaggenau was founded in 1683 as a tool manufacturer and started manufacturing premium kitchen appliances in 1961. The Gaggenau AH 900 is a slim-line, retractable kitchen extractor hood that slides out of sight when not in use. Adding an extractor over your cooker removes food odors from your kitchen and keeps your home smelling fresh.

    Dimensions

    • Available in widths of 26 inches and 36 inches, the pull out visor extends seven inches when in use. When extended, the hood is a total of 18 7/8-inches deep; retracted, the depth is reduced to just under 12 inches. The body of the unit which houses the motor and grease filter is 15 3/8-inches high and is built into a separately purchased cabinet. Bear in mind that if the unit is used in extraction mode, rather than recirculation mode, more space is required to attach ducting at the top of the unit. The AH 900 should be mounted a minimum of 30 inches above gas hobs and 27 1/2 inches above electric hobs.

    Air Flow

    • The Gaggenau AH 900 has three speeds and can be set to run automatically for short periods during cooking. A boost function is also available to increase extraction for short periods when required; during stir frying, for example. A maximum air flow of 390 cubic feet per minute is achievable with an unobstructed air flow through 6-inch diameter ducting.

    Power and Noise

    • Power ratings for the 26-inch model are 230 Watts at 2 amps; for the 36-inch model, power ratings are 240 Watts at 2.2 amps. During operation the extractor has a noise level of 54 decibels when extracting air to the outside and 64 decibels when fitted to recirculate air.
