Dodge, a division of Chrysler Group, is a brand of cars, trucks, sport utility vehicles and minivans that is sold in a wide variety of countries worldwide. With many vehicle models, such as the Avenger and Challenger, its Ram trucks are perhaps some of its best known automobiles, such as the 1996 Dodge Ram Indy.

The 1996 Dodge Ram Indy has a wheelbase of 119 inches, an overall length of 204 inches including the bumper and 199.9 inches without, and a height of 71.9 inches empty. The pickup box on the truck measures 6.5 feet, with the tailgate height being 19.4 inches; the front of the box to the end of the open tailgate measures a total of 99.9 inches. This Dodge Ram model has a payload of 2,370 lbs. as well as a 26-gallon fuel tank on models with short pickup boxes. The engine is a 5.9-liter Magnum and the exterior is painted brilliant blue.
The Indy Package

For Indy 500 enthusiasts there is an Indy Package of options available for this Dodge truck. The original 5.9-liter, V8 engine comes with an additional 15 horsepower, and the vehicle is given a monotone paint treatment with white accent stripes. It offers not only a variety of commemorative Indy 500 and Dodge graphics for the buyer, but a sport-tuned exhaust with a chrome tip as well. The Indy options package also comes complete with 17-inch Goodyear Eagle GTII tires as well as 17-inch American Racing Wheels, and, as of when the model was introduced, it was priced at approximately $900.

In addition to the Indy Package of options, the 1996 Dodge Ram Indy also comes with a variety of other options for the buyer to choose from. Alongside a Sure Grip axle and four-wheel anti-lock brakes, you could choose to have the standard valence panel replaced with a blue bumper. Other options include floor carpeting, an engine block heater, power dual bright 6-by-9-inch mirrors, an AM-FM stereo cassette or CD with a graphic equalizer, dual lighted visors and a sliding rear window. This Dodge Ram truck has options available for even the pickiest enthusiast.
