      AutoCAD stands for Auto Computer-Aided Design, a series of two-dimensional and three-dimensional design and engineering software for architecture. The software is made by Autodesk, a company that has released a variety of types of this software, including AutoCAD LT, which is a lower-cost version of AutoCAD. While AutoCAD LT has been updated since 2002, most features remain the same and are addressed in a variety of tutorials found on the Internet.

The writers of CADTutor tutorials don't provide step-by-step tutorials, instead offering more detailed, comprehensive training. The tutorials are designed to be compatible with as many AutoCAD versions as possible, including AutoCAD LT 2002. Each lesson also offers a quiz to test what you've learned.

The site provides a series of free video tutorials, including introduction tutorials, as well as beginner, intermediate and advanced training on the software.
