Point Park University

Eight miles northest of Bridgeville is Point Park University in Pittsburgh, whose mission is to educate students in a diverse environment to advance their careers. Though the university was originally established as a small business training college, the school has grown to encompass a number of degrees and achieved status as a university in 2004. Today, the Conservatory of Performing Arts is one of the school's centerpieces, accepting less than 10 percent of those who apply to the program. Point Park also hopes to become one of the most dynamic urban universities in the country. Students can earn a degree through one of Point Park's four schools: business, communication, arts and sciences or the Conservatory of Performing Arts.
