Date Night Basket Ideas

  • Movie Basket

    • Pick a romantic movie and buy it on DVD. You could also do a double feature and pick a romantic chick flick for one movie and an action movie for the other. Put some movie foods with the DVDs. Popcorn and candy like licorice, Junior Mints and M & Ms make good additions to this basket.

    Wine and Cheese Basket

    • Wine and cheese can be used for dinner or a snack on a date. Put wine, a corkscrew, glasses and napkins in the basket. Also add soft cheese and other spreads, along with crackers. Candlesticks and candles can be added to this basket to help set the mood. You may want to add a dessert, like a box of chocolates or a boxed cake or pie.

    Romantic Dinner

    • A gift certificate for dinner or ingredients for a simple meal is the foundation for this basket. If you are putting cooking ingredients in a dinner basket, stick with things like pasta that can be made in a few simple steps. Fondue kits with ingredients also work. Add candlesticks, candles and a CD of romantic music. Consider adding fancy, disposable flatware, place settings and a tablecloth so clean-up isn't needed. Put a dessert in the basket too; chocolates or chocolate-covered strawberries work well with this basket.

    Sensual Basket

    • Sensual gift baskets should have candles, romantic music and other similar things to help set the mood. You may also consider including his and her robes and slippers. Consider adding pampering items like massage oils, bubble bath or a gift certificate for a night away at a local hotel.
