DVD to AVI in Vista

AVI is the Audio Video Interleave file extension. It is a common video file as it can support videos compressed with different codecs. However, this means that is doesn't support as much file compression as similar files, such as .MPEG or .MOV. DVD files are videos that can be played on any regular DVD player without the need for additional software or modding. The easiest way to convert a DVD to an AVI file is to use video conversion software.
