How do I Avoid Theft on a Ford F 150 Via Remote Keyless Entry?

The Ford F-150 is among the many vehicles by the manufacturer that features keyless entry remote capabilities. The car offers the technology as a convenience and safety measure, and keyless entry helps to provide anti-theft protection. You can program up to four of the remotes to your vehicle and use them to control your door locks, your trunk release and your panic alarm from as far as a couple of hundred feet away.

      Sit in the driver's seat of your F-150 with your keyless remote and the car's ignition key.

      Insert the key into the ignition and quickly cycle it "On" and then "Off" eight times within the first 10 seconds after inserting it.

      Wait for the door locks to click after the eighth cycle with the ignition key, and have your remote ready.

      Press any button on the remote within 20 seconds and wait for the locks to click again. This will complete the programming for one remote.

      Repeat the previous step to program any additional anti-theft remotes. Be sure to wait for the locks to click after the previous remote is programmed, and be sure to press the button on the next remote within 20 seconds. Remove the key from the ignition when you are finished.
