How to Convert Flip Video to WMV

Flip video cameras are compact high definition camcorders that allow you to capture life's moments in the palm of your hand. If you want to convert the videos you record with the camera into videos viewable in Windows Media Center, however, you must convert these files into the .wmv format.   Open the computer's Internet browser and navigate to a website that offers video conversion software that will allow you to convert the files saved with the Flip video recorder into WMV files. Flip Video to WMV, AVCHD Converter and 4 EasySoft Flip Converter are a few of the programs that provide this service.

  Download and install the program onto the computer.

  Run the conversion program.

  Click "Add Video." Locate the Flip video file on the computer's hard drive, highlight it and click the "Open" button.

  Click the arrow to the right of the "Profile" subheading to bring up the profile drop-down menu. Select "WMV" from the drop down menu.
