How to Disable the Auto Door Lock Feature in a Thunderbird

The Thunderbird was first introduced by Ford Motor Co. in 1955 as a small, two-seat version of its full-sized cars. In 1958, the Thunderbird transformed into a larger car with a back seat, and remained in that form until 1997. The Thunderbird vanished from dealer showrooms for a few years, and was introduced again in 2002 as a two-seat convertible. This last generation Thunderbird was again discontinued in 2005, but had many high-tech convenience items as standard equipment. One of these was the autolock feature, which automatically locked both doors when the transmission was put into gear. By following a few steps, this feature can be deactivated.
