How to Load a Vaporizer

Most people are aware that smoking is unhealthy for the lungs, respiratory system and the body in general. Smoking can contribute to cancers and emphysema and shorten a person's lifespan. Vaporizers have gained popularity over the past decade because they greatly reduce the hazardous side effects of smoking. Vaporizers do not use combustion to extract the flavors of the herbs (or other materials) being smoked. Vaporizers also enable people to experience new flavors such as catnip, hops and passion flower.

Purchase herbs you wish to smoke at a local tobacco shop or search for herbs online.

Open the top of your herb grinder or coffee grinder. Place the herbs into the grinder and twist the grinder two or three times. Make sure you do not grind down the herbs into a powder, or it will be hard to clean out your vaporizer. Pour the herbs into a small bowl for easy access.

Plug your vaporizer into an outlet and turn it on. Check the herb's packaging for the optimum temperature needed before loading the vaporizer and set the vaporizer to that temperature. A typical temperature is 350 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow several minutes for the vaporizer to reach the temperature.
