Choose which technique you wish to use to impress other species; you can either dance, sing, charm or pose before others. Performing one of these techniques is dependent on what organs your species already has, the more organs you have developed, the more effective your technique will be.
- 2
Approach a species and mimic the action that they are doing -- if they are singing, then you must sing too; this is a very important part of making friends on Spore because it shows common features and will automatically load the "impress bar" at the top of the screen.
- 3
Continue to mimic the other species' action until you have filled up the impress bar. The bar should fill up automatically during this interaction. For harder opponents, it may take longer for the impress bar to fill up. It is essential that you fill your part in the same time your rival does.
- 4
Press the "siren's call" button in the middle of the screen to "negotiate" with your opponent. This can only be done if your species is a herbivore, however it is a good technique in speeding up the friend-making process.
- 5
Repeat this technique to 3-4 specimens of a particular species in order to make friends with the entire species. You may have to impress over 4 specimens to make friends with tougher species, however, this will gain you extra DNA points.

How to Make Friends on Spore
Spore is a single-player video game that was developed by Maxis in September 2008. The popular multi-genre game allows the player to create and develop a species of alien-- also known as the "spore"-- and explore their "world". The game features a number of different stages which you have to complete in order to progress throughout the game; the overall goal is to raise your species to be an intelligent being that will eventually ascend into "space". Players are rewarded for their activity by gaining "DNA points"-- these are gained by completing certain tasks, such as eating or making friends.
