How to Reinstall Windows Search Companion

The Windows Search Companion can be uninstalled at any time through the Control Panel. Windows Search Companion is considered a Windows Feature, and must be reinstalled as such using a specially designed native utility.

  Click "Control Panel."

  Click "Programs and Features."

  Click "Turn Windows Features On or Off."

  Check the "Windows Search" box. Click "OK" to reinstall the Windows Search Companion software on your computer.
