How to Transfer Numbers From Phone Memory to a Card

When switching phones, there comes a time when you'll need to transfer

information like contacts, phone numbers and, in some cases, multimedia files

to your new phone. Depending on the phone you wish to transfer the phone numbers from, you can use the SIM card as a medium because of its data storage capability. With some phone brands, you can transfer your contact numbers all at once onto the SIM card. With other phones, you may have to transfer one contact at a time manually.

Transfer All Contact Numbers

  Navigate to "Contacts" or "Address Book" on your mobile handset and open it.

  Select the "Options" menu and then select "Mark All."

  Choose the "Options" menu once all the contacts have been selected, and then select "Copy to SIM" or a similar option. The phone automatically copies all the marked contacts with their numbers onto the SIM card.

Transfer Individual Contact Numbers

  Open "Contacts" from your phone's main menu screen.

  Highlight and select a contact.

  Select the "Options" menu, navigate to "Copy to SIM" and select it.
