How to Unlock the GPS on a Palm Treo Pro

You can use the GPS on your Palm Treo Pro to determine and guide your current location. Various third-party applications will utilize the GPS signal, but the inbuilt program that uses it is QuickGPS. The GPS service is unlocked and started every time you open QuickGPS or another application that uses the GPS signal service. If you want to unlock the GPS therefore, you simply need to open the program. There are no settings for the GPS in the Settings or Preferences menus.

  Press the Start button on your Palm Treo Pro.

  Select "Programs," then "QuickGPS."

  Press the white "Center" button to begin gathering satellite information. Your GPS connection will now be unlocked and switched on, ready for use.
