How to Use Simple Green in a Carpet Steam Cleaner

Simple Green is a line of cleaning products designed and produced by Sunshine Makers Inc. Simple Green offers a carpet cleaner that is non-toxic and biodegradable, making it a safe and environmentally friendly choice. Simple Green Carpet Cleaner is a professional strength formula tough enough to lift stains and deodorize safely. The cleaner can be sprayed directly onto the soiled surface or be combined with water and used in a steam cleaner to achieve a deep clean.

  Spray Simple Green Carpet Cleaner on soiled areas directly to ensure the stain is properly lifted.

  Remove the water tank from the steam cleaner. Most water tanks are located on the back of the unit and are removed by lifting them out of the cleaner. Unscrew the cap and pour the desired amount of water into the tank.

  Pour the appropriate amount of cleaner into the tank. Replace the tank cap and then place the tank back in place on the Simple Green cleaner. Refer to the cleaner owner's manual for the amount of cleaner to mix with the water. Most steam cleaners use 1/3 to 1/4 cup of cleaner per filled water tank.

  Plug the steam cleaner into an electrical outlet. Power the steam cleaner by pressing the power button. Slowly push the steam cleaner forward while pressing the trigger to release the cleaning mixture.

  Pull the steam cleaner back in the same line as you went forward. The carpet cleaner will now begin sucking up the water/cleaner mixture along with any dirt and stains. Continue this process until the entire area is cleaned.
