Ideas for a St. Patty's Day Theme Meeting

  • Green Cuisine

    • If your meeting is planned for the morning, green bagels are one way to commemorate this holiday. Many delis offer green-colored bagels in honor of St. Patrick's Day. If you want an extra touch of green, add diced scallions to the cream cheese.

If your meeting is later in the day, you may have to get a bit more creative. You can serve pasta or chicken with a green pesto sauce. You also can make your own Irish soda bread and add a bit of green food coloring to the mix.

While serving lager isn't appropriate in the workplace, you can re-create the vibe of a local pub with some green mock-tails. Just add a dash of green food coloring to ginger ale, apple juice or lemonade.

    Dress Code

    • If you are running this St. Patrick's Day meeting, you can require that all in attendance wear green. The person running or moderating the meeting should be decked out in full St. Patty's Day attire: a green hat, bow tie and pants would all be appropriate. You can even get leprechaun ears from a costume shop to complete the look.

    Green Office Supplies

    • Just for this one day, you can replace all the office supplies with green versions. Hide all the red and blue pens, and replace them with pens that have green ink. Do the same for notepads, note pads and paper clips.
