Faxing a Scanned Document
- 1
Place the original document to be scanned and faxed on the Officejet 6500. If your document has only a single page, you can place it face down on the glass or face up on the automatic document feed (ADF) tray. Multiple-page originals should be placed in the ADF.
- 2
Dial the fax number using the keypad or a preprogrammed number. Be sure to include the area code if needed. In some office environments, it may be necessary to dial a number to reach an outside line.
- 3
Press the "Start Fax" button on the machine.
- 4
Watch the display to verify that the fax sends successfully. Depending on device settings, a page may print indicating success or failure.
