Wallpaper can make a big impact on a room, but can also be difficult to install and remove. Several roller tools are available to help you whether you are applying, repairing or removing wallpaper. Finding the right roller tool for your wallpaper project can make all the difference.
Paint Roller

A paint roller can be used to apply wallpaper paste to wallpaper that is not prepasted. This Old House magazine recommends using a paint roller with a 3/8-inch nap. Pour the paste in a paint tray and roll the paint roller in it. Apply the paste to the back of the wallpaper just before applying it. A paint roller an also be used to apply wallpaper remover if you want to take down old wallpaper.
Seam Roller

A seam roller is a small roller made of plastic or wood that you use to flatten the seams and edges of your wallpaper. They are between 1 and 1.5 inches and usually cost between $1 and $10. To use, let your wallpaper dry 15 to 20 minutes before rolling the seam roller over the seams. A seam roller can also be used to fix seams.
Wallpaper Roller

A wallpaper roller is a tool used to remove wallpaper. You roll it over the wall and blades score holes in the wallpaper without damaging the wall behind it. These holes make an opening for steam or wallpaper remover to enter and dissolve paste. Wallpaper rollers are available at home improvement stores for around $30.
