There are several airlines that fly from Barcelona to Manchester. Some, such as Monarch, offer a direct destination flight, whereas others such as Iberia and SWISS make brief stops in London and Zurich, respectively. Flight prices will vary depending on the season, day of the week, time and how long the ticket was booked in advance.
Iberia Airlines

A Spanish airlines company, Iberia, flies from Barcelona to London, and then from London to Manchester in quick succession. The flight from London to Manchester lasts for about one hour.
Iberia Airlines has confirmed that a merger with British Airways will go ahead in April 2011, making the combined airlines the third largest operator in the world. According to the "Sunday Nation," the BA chief executive will become chief executive of the new umbrella company controlling the two airlines, International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG), while the Iberia chairman will become the group chairman.
Monarch Airlines

Monarch Airlines offers a direct flight from Barcelona to Manchester. Prices for pre-booked and weekend flights vary. Monarch flight prices also do not include airport taxes and other flight surcharges.
Monarch Airlines also flies to Manchester from Lanzarote, Malaga, Alicante, Antalya, Faro, Fuerteventura, Ibiza, Larnaca and Tenerife South.
SWISS International Airlines

SWISS International Airlines offers a route to Manchester that stops in the Swiss capital of Zurich, with flight times varying between seasons. Flights from Barcelona to Zurich have a 40-minute wait for a transfer flight to Manchester. Airfare includes a fuel surcharge, airport taxes and SWISS service fees. (See Resources.)
