How to Configure Netgear Prosafe

Netgear ProSafe devices are a key part of wireless networks: They connect wired networks to wireless devices in a house or company setting. This enables a user to create a point of wireless access to both send and receive information via a wireless network. If you understand how to navigate correctly via your device settings, you can configure a Netgear ProSafe device.

      Go to the address bar of a laptop or network computer connected to your Netgear device with an Ethernet cord. Then, input 192.168.0.228 and click "Enter."

      Enter the phase "admin" where it says "User Name." Enter the word "password" in the Password box. Click your mouse on the "Login Now" option.

      Enter a name for your access point. Click on the word "Apply."

      Click "Wireless Settings." Leave all the settings at the default level and click "Enter."

      Go to "WEP/WPA Settings" and type in the correct data for the wireless security mode. Note that each device of the wireless variety that exists on the network has to utilize the exact same mode of encryption as well as the same key. Click "Enter" to conclude the process.
