How to Find an Old Love

In today's world it is easier than ever to find an old love. Millions of people are online using social networks or blogging, so an Internet search is often successful when looking for someone. Sometimes you don't need a computer at all but can find someone the old fashioned way by talking to friends and family or tracking down old addresses. Remember finding a lost love can be tricky. Keep in mind that your former Mr. or Mrs. Right may be married, changed significantly or doesn't remember the relationship the same way you do.

Call old phone numbers, and visit old addresses. Old information is sometimes still good information, or it can lead to more clues. Start with any old addresses or phone numbers you have for the person you are trying to find. Someone at that number or address might know something.

Call or contact friends and family who knew you and the person you're looking for. Chances are that someone from your life kept in contact with that person or knows other friends and family members who know that person.

Search social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. Search using the person's name, any nicknames, and any e-mail addresses you might have. Also search names of family members of the person you are looking for. Your lost love might not have a social networking account, but a relative might.

Search public directories. Your old sweetheart might be listed in public directories online or on paper. Libraries can help you find directories for other areas.
