- 1
Turn off your vehicle and prop open your hood with the hood support rod.
- 2
Disconnect the two wiring harnesses on the rear of your headlight assembly.
- 3
Remove any visible bolts on top and on the rear of the headlight assembly with your socket wrench.
- 4
Pull the headlight assembly off of the headlight mounting bracket. Wiggle it side-to-side if it is loose but won't come out completely, or use the screwdriver as a pry. Continue to step 5 if it does not budge at all. Otherwise, skip to Step 6.
- 5
Remove the turn signal, grille and bumper in that order to look for hidden bolts that continue to secure the headlight assembly to the headlight mounting bracket. Tape up any part you need to remove if you are afraid of scratching it as you work. In general, there are fasteners on top of the grille and on top of the turn signal. The fasteners for the bumper are below it and in the front wheel wells.

Set your JDM headlight assembly on the headlight mounting bracket in the same manner the original headlights were set. Secure the JDM headlights with the bolts you removed earlier and reconnect the two wiring harnesses. If you removed the turn signal, grille and/or bumper, reinstall them.

How to Install JDM Headlights
If your headlight assemblies are broken or damaged, you may want to replace them with JDM headlight assemblies. JDM is a manufacturer of headlight assemblies, particularly for Honda, Mitsubishi and Subaru vehicles. Although the installation procedure for JDM headlight assemblies varies by the make and model of the vehicle you have, the procedure is similar from model to model. Expect to spend a few hundred dollars on your JDM headlights and spend an afternoon installing them.
