How to Upgrade Bumpers in 3D Pinball

"3D Pinball: Space Cadet" was a computer pinball game included with every copy of Windows XP. "3D Pinball Space Cadet" was a full-featured pinball game, with such elements as missions, extra-ball chances and upgradable bumpers. Each bumper type, Attack or Engine, may be upgraded a maximum of three times over the course of the game. Both bumper sets are upgradable in their own specific way.

Attack Bumpers

  Shoot the ball in a straight line to the top of the table, or shoot it inside of the blue ramp so the ball is carried to the top of the table.

  Enter one of the three "Re-Entry" lanes, located at the top of the table above the "Attack Bumpers," to light up the lane.

  Light up all three "Re-Entry" lanes to upgrade the "Attack Bumpers."

Engine Bumpers

  Aim the ball so that it enters the purple ramp, located to the left of the table.

  Enter one of the three "Engine" lanes in the purple area, located above the "Engine bumpers" on the lower left-hand side of the table.

  Light up all three "Engine" lanes to upgrade the "Engine Bumpers."
