How to Use U740 on a PC

The U740, also know as the Champagne, is a clam-shell cell phone by Samsung. It supports various types of media files, such as image and audio, and features a 1.3-megapixel camera, which allows you to take your own photos. To back up the files on your device, or to transfer new ones to it, it is best to establish a phone-to-PC connection.

  Download and install Samsung PC Studio--see Resources for a link.

  Plug the USB cable into a free USB port on your PC. Plug the other end of the cable into the phone.

  Open Samsung PC Studio; there are various icons available to use. Select "Manage Messages" to manage the SMS/MMS messages on your device.

  Select "Manage Contacts" to update, add or remove contacts from your device.

  Select "Synchronize" to sync personal information on your phone and computer.

  Select "Transfer Files" to open a window that allows you to manage the files on your device alongside the files on your computer. In this interface, you can transfer files between the two.

  Select "Manage Internet Connections" to use your mobile phone as a modem for the computer.
