The Smallest Touch Phones

  Modern cell phones come in a variety of shapes and form factors. One of the most prevalent features of popular cell phones is touch-screen functionality. Physical keyboards are being replaced in favor of on-screen input and finger gesture navigation. Although many modern touch-screen devices feature large screens, there are many small touch-capable phones on the market, as well.

LG Pop

• The LG Pop is a small, compact touch-screen phone filled with many multimedia features. The LG Pop has a compact 3-inch touchscreen that serves as the main means of navigating the phone. The device also features a three-megapixel camera, a Web browser and social network applications. Standard features include a music player, calendar and organizer.

Orange Vegas

• The Orange Vegas is a compact touch-screen phone, even smaller than the LG Pop. The devices weighs just 84 grams, and features a super small 2.4-inch touch-screen display. Also included in the hardware is a directional pad, a pair of soft-key controls, and regular call and end buttons. A pretty straightforward device, the Vegas supports MP3 playback and an FM radio, as well as a 1.3 MP camera that records video.

Nokia Nuron

• The Nokia Nuron is a multimedia touch-screen device with advanced multimedia features. The phone features a 3.2-inch touch-screen display. The Nuron features a full-screen qwerty keyboard and handwriting recognition. Additional features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a two-megapixel camera, and GPS support for maps and voice guided navigation. The Nuron also uses the 3G network and has access to Nokia's Ovi Store for downloadable applications.

LG Mini

• The LG Mini is a compact global GSM cell phone that is compatible with many U.S. carriers. The Mini features a 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen that uses LCD technology. There are only three hardware buttons: the volume rocker, power on / off, and the camera shutter. The phone also has a five-megapixel camera, a microSD slot and a 3.5mm jack to insert headphones. Software features include a full HTML5 browser, an FM radio, GPS support and Air Sync (which updates the phone's data over the air to a PC, and vice versa).
