Sony Alpha 900, also called the Sony a900, is a 24.6 megapixel digital SLR camera. The digital SLR has optical image stabilization to eliminate the chance of getting blurry images and it has the BIONZ image processor. The Sony Alpha 900 does not come with a lens or a built-in flash, which allows users to purchase interchangeable components that work in different settings.
Physical Description and Power

The Sony a900 camera body measures 6.1 inches in width, 3.2 inches in depth and 4.6 inches in height. The body is composed of magnesium alloy. A Sony Lithium-ion rechargeable battery and a battery charger are included with the purchase of the camera. The camera takes approximately 880 pictures on a full battery charge.

The Alpha 900 uses either a Memory Stick Duo or CompactFlash memory card. The image sizes available are 6,048-by-4,032, 3,024-by-2,016 and 4,400-by-2,936. The camera has a HDMI, USB and composite video output. It also has a self-timer that has delay settings of 2 and 10 seconds. The a900 also comes with an infrared remote control. The ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 6,400.
Flash and Lens

The flash on the digital SLR is an AF illuminator and it uses TTL phase detection as its auto focus. The lens has nine auto focus points, or zones, and a Minolta A-type lens mounting system.
LCD and Viewfinder

The LCD display measures 3 inches and it a TFT Xtra Fine display with 921,000 pixels. The optical viewfinder has a fixed eye-level pentaprism with a magnification of 0.74x.
Included Accessories

Accessories included with the camera are a video cable, USB cable, shoulder strap, eyepiece cover and body cap. The camera also comes with a software CD.
