1995 4.3 Vortec Torque Specs

• Described by GM as their "premier engine line for vehicles, marine and industrial applications," the Vortec engine line began in 1988 with the release of a 4.3-liter V6 engine that utilized a vortex within the combustion chamber. In 1995, the 4.3-liter V6 Vortec engine was utilized in three models: Blazer, Astro and C/K 1500. Torque specifications for the 1995 4.3-liter Vortec vary across the three models.

Blazer

• All 1995 model Blazers were sold standard with a 4.3-liter V6 engine. The 4.3-liter engine is capable of 260 foot-pounds of torque while working at a rate of 4,500 rpm.

Astro

• Like the Blazer, all 1995 Chevrolet Astros van models were sold with a standard 4.3-liter V6 engine. The 4.3-liter engine the Astros were outfitted with is capable of 250 foot-pounds of torque at a work rate of 2,800 rpm.

C/K 1500

• The 4.3-liter V-6 Vortec engine was also utilized for the C/K 1500 truck model. Torque for specifications for the C/K 1500 4.3-liter work out to 237 foot-pounds of torque at 2,400 rpm.
