The 2000 Toyota Tundra is a pickup truck available in six different versions. The SR5 Regular Cab and Limited Access Cab come with a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. The SR5 Access Cab and Regular Cab have a five-speed manual overdrive transmission with the option of getting an automatic transmission instead.

The two-wheel-drive editions of the SR5 Access Cab and Limited Access Cab all tow a maximum of 7,200 pounds, as does the four-wheel-drive SR5 Regular Cab. The Regular Cab tows up to 5,250 pounds. The four-wheel-drive versions of the SR5 Access Cab and Limited Access Cab tow up to 7,100 pounds.

All versions of the Tundra have a 26.4-gallon fuel tank and take unleaded gasoline. The 3.4-liter engine versions with four-wheel drive get 15 MPG, or miles per gallon, in the city and 18 MPG on the highway. The 3.4-liter engine models with two-wheel drive get 16 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway. The 4.7-liter engine versions with four-wheel drive get 14 MPG in the city and 17 MPG on the highway. The two-wheel-drive 4.7-liter engine versions get 15 MPG in the city and 18 MPG on the highway.
