The 2000 Yamaha Grizzly is a four-stroke air-cooled engine with a compression ratio of 8.5:1. The fuel system is aspirated with a single carburetor and the choke is manual and located on the instrument panel. The ATV has an electric ignition system with back-up recoil and auto decompression. The ATV's fuel capacity is 5 gallons.
Chassis and Suspension

The 2000 Yamaha Grizzly is 81.9 inches long, 45.7 inches wide and 47.8 inches high. It has a 49.4-inch wheelbase, a ground clearance of 7.1 inches and an overall weight of 600 lbs. Standard features include shock absorbers with front and rear coil with dual-rate adjustability. Front suspension is strut-type and has 6.3 inches wheel travel. Rear suspension has a 7.5 inches of wheel travel.
