The 2.2-liter four cylinder engine found in the 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier was the only engine available for that model year. First introduced in 2002, this Ecotec engine was paired with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. This engine is rated at 140 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 150 foot-lbs of torque at 4,000 rpm.
