It is often said that a woman's hair is her crowning glory. Whether it is long or short, there are a myriad of ways to coax and style it. Using tools and implements such as curling irons, blow dryers, barrettes and bobby pins, you can completely change your look on a whim. Bobby pins are one of the most versatile hair tools.

    Jewelry

    • Bling out your hair with jewels. Not only is this a fun look, but it's cost-effective as well. While you can purchase pretty barrettes or clips, there is nothing like using real jewelry to decorate your hair. Wrap a sparkly bracelet around a ponytail. Use bobby pins to hold the bracelet in place. Another idea is to use a bobby pin to attach an old broach to your hair.

    Retro Curls

    • Create big, curly, retro curls using bobby pin tricks. These types of curls are reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s. During that era, women often created lovely looks with pin curls. Doing Make sure that the hair is damp and that you have used some kind of mousse or setting lotion on it. Use your fingers to create a curl and wrap around your finger. Use bobby pins to pin them to your head.

    Quick and Easy

    • If you are a woman on the go, use bobby pin tricks to create simple elegance. For best results, begin with bobby pins that match your hair color. To create an easy and lovely hairstyle, take a portion of the hair towards the front of the face, such as bangs or the hair to the side of the bangs. Twist the piece of hair and pin it off to the side with the bobby pin. Either pin just one side or also twist and pin the other side as well.

    Twist

    • Create an easy up-do or chignon using three to four bobby pins, depending on the thickness and length of your hair. This type of hairstyle is professional and instantly dresses up your look. Sweep the hair back off of the face and put it in a low ponytail. Simple twist the ponytail and place it against the back of your hair. Tuck the ends in and pin the hair in place.
