Camouflage is a birthday theme that works well for all ages. Camo includes the traditional green, brown and black, as well as pink and light blue camo. Many girls go with the light blue or pink camo theme. No matter the theme, be sure to incorporate plenty of creative ideas.
Military Theme
-
For a military camo party theme, decorate the party area with brown, green and black balloons. Hang military theme items, such as canteens, army boots, binoculars, compasses and military clothes around the party area. These items can also be used as centerpieces on the tables. Create a war paint zone by having someone paint camo on each party guest's face. Make brown, green and black iced cupcakes, and serve apple juice with green food coloring and call it "swamp juice."
Girl Camo Theme
-
Create a girl camo theme by using light pink, dark pink and white party supplies. Find a pink pinata, such as a bear or other animal, and dress it in pink camo clothing. Paint each party guest's face with pink camo paint, such as white, light pink and dark pink. Ask all party guests to wear pink camo clothing or dark pink, light pink and white clothing. Give out pink camo party favor bags filled with items like pink camo bandannas, key chains and pencils. These pink camo items are available at most party supplies stores and online.
For food, make cupcakes with light pink, dark pink and white icing. Fill clear glass jars with pink and white candies. Make ice cubes the night before the party and drop several drops of pink food coloring in the ice trays to make the ice cubes dark pink. Pour the pink lemonade over the dark pink ice cubes for drinks.
Hunting Theme
-
Design a hunting theme with your camo decorations by giving guests an outdoor feel. You can have the party outdoors if weather permits or decorate indoors to gives guests an outdoor feel. Hang camo nets used for blinds around the party area. Place any artificial or indoor plants you have around the party area. Decorate the party area with plush or toy deer, rabbits, bears and ducks. Find a mounted deer head that has antlers and play ring toss by letting the guests toss rings onto the antlers. Create cupcakes and put plastic animals, like deer, bears or ducks, on each cupcake. Pour drinks from canteens or if you have enough, serve guest drinks in canteens.
