Camper Trailers That Sleep 6 to 8 People

  Camping can be a relaxing way to get out into nature. Sometimes you may not feel up to roughing it in a tent, especially if you're camping with a large group. A camper trailer offers the chance to experience camping with many of the comforts of home included. Most camper trailers offer kitchens and bathrooms, and many even include hot water and electricity. Several companies offer camper trailers that can sleep six to eight people.

Scamp

• The Scamp 19-foot fifth-wheel camping trailer can sleep up to six adults. The Scamp offers a 20-volt power converter, 12 and 120-volt lighting, a 12-gallon water tank, dual propane tanks and electric brakes. The trailer's kitchen includes an ice box, a sink and a two-burner stove. Bathroom options include a sani-potty, flush toilet and shower. Additional features can include a 16,000 BTU furnace, air conditioning, 1.9- or 4.6-cubic-foot gas-electric refrigerator, microwave and oven. Scamp trailers can be towed by most SUVs, crossover vehicles or minivans.

Rockwood Roo

• The Forest River Rockwood Roo camper trailer sleeps up to six. Camper features include a six-gallon water heater, a water filtration system, a 55-amp converter with a charger, electric slideouts and dual 20-pound propane bottles. The kitchen offers a three-burner, high-output gas range, a gas-electric refrigerator and a sink with a cover and cutting board. Bathrooms feature skylights, foot-flush toilets and fan vents. Mattresses are heated, and each bed features a bunk light and fan. Optional features include air conditioning, outdoor speakers, microwaves and awnings. Most SUVS, crossovers and minivans can pull the Rockwood Roo.

Americana Utah

• The Coleman Americana-series Utah camper trailer sleeps up to six. The Utah features a 12-volt electrical lighting and water pump system, dual propane tanks and 110-volt interior electrical outlets. The kitchen offers a three-burner range, a 1.9 cubic-foot refrigerator, a deep-bowl sink and a portable high-pressure stove for outdoor use. Bathrooms feature an optional porta-potty and outdoor shower system with a privacy curtain. Options include air conditioning, boat mounts and power lift systems. Most SUVs and minivans can tow the Americana Utah.

Travel Star

• The Starcraft Travel Star camper trailer sleeps up to eight people. The Travel Star can be pulled by most SUVs, crossovers and minivans. Choose between three Travel Star models, the expandable, expandable sport, and travel trailers. The Travel Star expandable model features a 12-volt electrical system, an 18,000-BTU furnace and dual 20-pound propane gas tanks. Features include a 22-inch HD television; fully functional bathroom and kitchen; fold-out, expandable bunk beds; and hard-wall slide outs. Kitchen amenities include three-burner stoves, refrigerators with five-cubic-feet capacity and high faucets. Bathrooms offer a marine toilet and a shower.
