Spa gifts are thoughtful for anyone, as they represent relaxation and cleanliness. Although it is not the same as actually going to the spa, using these gifts will help you recreate the experience and it is the experience that is most important. These inexpensive spa gifts may be given separately or thrown together in a container as a "spa in a basket."
Plastic Massager & Scented Massage Oil

Hiring a massage therapist to give you a full body massage is quite expensive and i's only a one-time thing, unless you have a gift certificate or membership to your local spa. Fortunately there are many inexpensive plastic massagers (think $1 to $10). To make the experience even more enjoyable, throw in a few scented massage oils (if you purchase online, you can usually receive a variety pack for less than $10). Massagers and scented oil are thoughtful gifts for busy individuals who need to sit back and relax for a few hours.
Bath Bombs and Salts

Bath "bombs" are made up of baking soda, Epsom salts, citric acid, scents and coloring in order to create a solid shape. These bath bombs come in different shapes and sizes. When dropped into water, they begin to fizz and dissolv. They may add color, scents or cleaning agents into the bath water. Bath salts are generally the same, although they are not solids. You simply drop beads of salt into the bath and they dissolve to add oils and sometimes relaxing scents to help you unwind during your bath. Bath bombs are relatively cheap (between $1 and $5 for three) and bath salts are generally between $5 and $15.
Shower Soaps and Lotions

Before purchasing shower soaps and lotions as a spa gift for someone, consider their favorite scents. If you do not know this information, look into aromatherapy scents. There are scents for energy (citrus), relaxation (lavender) and calming nerves (cedarwood), among others. Shower soaps and lotions may come separately or together. When buying separately, shower gels and lotions are approximately $3 and up. If you are purchasing name-brand products, the price may be significantly higher.
Loofahs and Exfoliating Cream

Loofahs come in all shapes, sizes and colors. They are bath "puffs" made for exfoliating the skin and removing dry, dead skin to make way for new, radiant skin cells. Loofahs are very inexpensive and may be purchased from drug stores or department stores for between $1 and $5. There are even loofahs with extra long handles to exfoliate hard-to-reach areas such as the back and shoulders. Exfoliating cream is a nice addition to the loofahs because it adds extra exfoliating power and most exfoliating creams may also be used on the face where loofahs are too harsh.
Eye and Face Masks

Eye masks usually consist of plastic pads filled with gel so that they may be cooled in the refrigerator. When the cool eye mask is placed on the eyes, it increases circulation and helps to relieve red puffiness. Face masks help to clean the face and pores so that zits and acne are less likely to appear. Some face masks also help to tighten up the skin in the face, making for a more youthful appearance. Eye masks cost around $5 and face masks are between $5 and $10, unless you opt for a name-brand product.
