- 1
Crack eggs and whisk in a container. Once whisked, dip the uncooked chicken strips in the egg.
- 2
Roll the egged chicken in flour to thoroughly coat all sides. You can add seasoning to the flour or the chicken for taste.
- 3
Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 4
Place the chicken tenders in the deep fryer one at a time and allow to cook for 5 to 8 minutes, or until they are golden brown. The size of the chicken should correlate to the time. Bigger pieces should be cooked closer to 8 minutes.
Check the chicken by cutting into the center; the chicken should be blanched of color throughout, with no pink.
- 5
Remove the chicken tenders and allow to drain on paper towels.

Chicken Tenders: Cook Time
Chicken tenders, or chicken strips that are battered and fried, are a staple in restaurants, pubs and diners. From chicken and waffle restaurants to all-chicken establishments like Chick-Fil-A, chicken tenders can be found in countless dining arenas. One of the many problems with cooking these tenders is the time discrepancy between battered chicken and normal chicken meat. It isn't as easy as dropping battered meat in a fryer; cooking tenders the right way requires a certain finesse and the proper timing.
