To receive the Internet wirelessly, one must connect to a wireless modem or network router. Some home networks combine a cable modem and wireless router into a single piece of hardware; a wireless cable modem. In order to provide the best delivery of its services, Comcast suggests the use of Comcast-compatible wireless modems and lists on its website over 20 cable modem brands. Only a few of the models listed are compatible wireless modems.
Netgear

The following Netgear models are Comcast-compatible wireless modems: CG814W, CG814WG, CG814WGV2, CG814M and CG814MV2.
Linksys

Linksys only features one compatible wireless modem, model WCG200.
Motorola

The Motorola SBG900 wireless modem is Comcast-compatible. Its SBG1000 model is also on the list, though reviews and purchasing options are difficult to find.
