Date Ideas for a Boyfriend's Birthday

  • Sporting Events

    • Get tickets to the game. If your guy is a sports fanatic, this is a no-brainer. Check his schedule and plan in advance to get the best seats. Leave a trail of rose petals leading up to the tickets to surprise him. Entice anticipation for the date by gearing yourself up in team apparel. As a gift, have his favorite team jersey or hat waiting for him. On the date, show team spirit even if you are not into sports or if the team playing is not your favorite. Understand that on his birthday, it is all about him and simply spending time with him and acknowledging his interests would be a birthday worth remembering for him.

    Weekend Trips

    • Plan a simple weekend gateway. Simplicity and creativity can really impress a guy on his birthday. Romance him by planning something according to his interests. If he is the outdoorsy-type, set up a camping day trip, a romantic hike or a kayak excursion. If the weather is warm, celebrate his birthday date at the beach where you can go swimming, surfing, jet skiing or just beach combing. During rest, set up a picnic at the beach, or at a scenic park with his favorite finger foods.

    At Home Dates

    • Skip the traditional dinner date and plan his birthday around a romantic dinner indoors. Rent movies and cook dinner together, making simple foods like hamburgers, pizza or a birthday cake with his favorite toppings. Go outdoors and celebrate his birthday under the stars by pitching a tent outside the house. Make s'mores, drink wine, play romantic board games, listen to music or engage in long chats under the open sky.
