The relationship between Mickey Mouse and Nintendo goes back to October 9, 1981, when Disney's first video game for children, Mickey Mouse, was released. It had a pretty simple premise; a black and white MIckey Mouse tried to catch eggs that his hens were laying. In 1982, Disney and Atari attempted to make a video game as part of Atari's line of young children's games. It was to be based on the movie "Snow White," but the game was never completed.
The Walt Disney company now creates numerous educational and entertaining games for four-year-old children. Most Disney games help young kids practice skills that can help them throughout life; they learn listening, logic, counting, reasoning, matching, telling time, phonics help and keyboard instruction. Disney designs games that entertain both boys and girls.
