Epson C86 Specifications

• The Epson Stylus C86 inkjet printer is suitable for everyday document and photo printing. It produces sharp and vivid photos with long-lasting color. With photos being the primary target for the C86, it has a variety of sizing options for border-less printing. The ink heats quickly for fast and seamless printing.

Speed

• Speed is not the biggest consideration when choosing a photo printer, but the C86 can print up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) in black ink and 12 ppm in color. When printing photos, it takes 1:07 for a traditional 4 by 6 photo and 2:18 for an 8 by 10.

Inks

• The Epson C86 uses DuraBrite ink, with separate cartridges for each color to conserve on the colors not frequently used and save on operating costs. The ink adds to print-quality because it is smudge and light-resistant. The effects of the resistance are most effective after the ink has had time to dry completely.

Paper

• The C86 supports traditional letter and legal paper. Photos print on plain paper, but if quality is the goal, you can use Epson certified photo paper. It also can support half-letter and user-defined sizes, with a maximum total area of 8.26 inches by 10.76 inches.
