The Epson R300 was marketed under the Stylus color photo inkjet printer series and is no longer in production. The R300 model was one of the first Epson photo printers to provide users with the ability to print pictures with or without a personal computer.

With a resolution of 5760 x 1440 dots per inch, the Epson R300 photo printer can produce up to 15 pages of black or colored text per minute. Full-page photo prints take longer, approximately 1.3 minutes per page. The R300 contains ink cartridges for black, cyan, magenta, yellow, light cyan and light magenta colors. Images may be enhanced before printing by using the built-in brightness, saturation and sharpness filters.

The Epson R300 photo printer holds and automatically feeds up to 120 sheets of plain paper or 20 sheets of photo paper. It can print on envelopes, cards, labels and paper up to 8.5 inches wide and up to 44 inches in length.

This printer is equipped with USB ports and memory card slots, and it will connect to a personal computer with Windows 98 SE, 2000, Me and XP systems as well as Macintosh computers running Apple MacOS 8.6, 9.2, 10.1 and 10.2. The built-in memory card slots provide access to photos saved on MagicGate, Sony and Secure Digital memory sticks. In addition, digital cameras with direct printing capabilities using PictBridge and DirectPrint technology can print photos with the Epson R300 printer.

This photo printer weighs 14 lbs. It measures 10.4 inches deep, 19.6 inches wide and 8.6 inches tall. It requires a 120-volt power source. Epson recommends operating this unit at temperatures between 50 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity levels of 20 to 80 percent. When in use, the R300 operates at a noise level of 42 decibels and uses 13 watts of energy.
