A grant researcher and preparer, also known as a grant writer, completes and submits grant applications to procure these funds. Job Description

• Grant writers who are staff members research grant sources applicable to the nature of their organization, subsequently complete the application and provide the requested eligibility information. Independent grant writers typically contract to write grants on an as-needed basis and do not seek out grant fund resources.

Preferred Skills & Background

• Two years' experience in grant researching and preparation is desirable. Background working with nonprofit, philanthropic or charitable agencies is helpful. Strong writing, editing and research skills are assets.
