Honda was established in 1948 and as of 2010 it is the sixth largest vehicle manufacturer in the world. It produces vehicles that range from subcompact cars to full-sized SUVs. The Honda Odyssey was first introduced on the market in 1994 as a minivan and was recognized as one of the more economical choices for multipurpose vehicles. The 2010 Odyssey is the last member of its third generation, paving way to the fourth generation that will be released in 2011.

The 2010 Honda Odyssey is a front-wheel drive, four-door minivan that can easily accommodate seven to eight passengers. It has four major trims; the LX, EX, EX-L and the Touring. All trims, except the base model LX, can be equipped with a DVD system and the EX-L includes a navigation system as an option. The Touring model includes all the features mentioned, as well as other additional features, including a "HandsFreeLink" Wireless communication access for Bluetooth enabled devices.

The base powertrain for the 2010 Odyssey is a 3.5-liter, V6 engine with 344 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 240 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. The standard drivetrain is a five-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include cloth upholstery, front bucket seats, power accessories, cruise control, power steering, 12V power outlets and tilt and telescopic steering wheel. The audio system is an AM/FM/CD stereo with MP3 playback capability together with an auxiliary MP3 input and four speakers. The top of the line model includes a premium DVD system with wireless headphones and a 9-inch screen located in the overhead console. It also comes with a premium audio system with satellite radio and seven speakers. The Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System also comes standard with higher-class models.

The base model is equipped with four-wheel Antilock Brake System, daytime running lights, emergency brake assist, traction and stability control, rear door child safety locks, engine immobilizer and tire-pressure monitoring. It's also equipped with front, rear and third row head airbags, and dual front side-mounted airbags. Higher models include a front and rear electronic parking aid with a rear camera. The 2010 Odyssey ranges from $27,000 to $40,000 depending on the model and upgrades.
