How Do I Get OneNote on a Palm?

OneNote is a Microsoft program that allows the user to take notes, copy information from other files and save information on the computer. The notes it allows are both typed and handwritten notes, so it's convenient to take notes by hand as well as by typing them up. This software program isn't designed for a Palm device, but there are options available that can sync OneNote to your Palm unit.

Install OneNote on the computer. If OneNote is not already on the desktop or laptop, it needs to be added to sync it onto the Palm.

Download a OneNote utility or software to convert the program (see Resources). Options include Windows Azure or Palm Desktop to Microsoft OneNote.

Connect the Palm to the computer. The Palm comes with a USB cord that connects the computer to the Palm device to exchange information. Connect the USB cord by plugging in the USB cord to the USB drive on the computer and plugging the other end into the Palm device.

Sync the computer and Palm. Connect the Palm to the computer using a USB cord. Allow it to load; when it asks to sync, select "OK." Sync the converter software and OneNote onto the Palm device. Syncing will exchange the information from one device to the other. By adding OneNote and the converter to the Palm, it allows OneNote to work on the Palm.
