Push firmly on the back of the microwave to remove the appliance from the slots at the bottom of the metal mounting plate. For best results, push with one hand and stabilize the microwave with the other hand. Once you've freed the appliance from the slots, set it down.

How Do I Remove Built-in Microwave Ovens?
Removing a built-in microwave oven is actually a much simpler process than installing one. When removing the oven, you do not need to take exact measurements and install a mounting plate as you did when you installed it. However, you should have at least one person to help you remove the microwave, as these appliances can be fairly heavy, and you run the risk of dropping the microwave if you attempt this procedure without assistance.
