How do I Set Up a DVD to a Coolsat 6000 Remote?

The Coolsat 6000 Premium is a now-discontinued PVR that can be used to control and record satellite or cable television. A universal remote is included with the Coolsat 6000 Premium that controls the receiver and has the capability to control up to three additional devices, such as your TV, stereo or DVD player. Prior to using the remote to control your DVD player, you must first teach the remote the DVD player's remote code, which can be done automatically.

  Turn on the DVD player using either the DVD player's original remote, or the power button on the DVD player itself.

  Press and hold both the "DVD" button and the "OK" button on the Coolsat 6000 Premium remote for approximately two seconds. Once the DVD button flashes twice, release both buttons.

  Point the remote at the DVD player, than press the "CH +" button repeatedly, until the DVD player turns off. Wait approximately one second between button presses.

  Press the "OK" button on the remote once the DVD player turns off to save the settings. The Coolsat 6000 Premium remote is now configured to operate your DVD player.
