How Know If a 2006 Mazda 3 Has a Mulitdisk Changer

Some 2006 Mazda 3s come with a multi-disc changer. This disc changer holds as many as six CDs and is located within the radio. The disc changer load slot is in the same place as the single disc load slot on vehicles equipped with basic radio. At first glance, the multi-disc changer and the single disc changer look similar. However, the multi-disc changer is labeled, which makes it easy to determine which CD player your Mazda 3 has.

  Sit in either the Mazda 3's driver or passenger side seat to have a clear view of the car's factory stereo.

  Look for the "Load" button on the radio's CD slot. Then look directly to the right of the "Load" button.

  Look for a label that says "6 Disc." If you do, your Mazda 3 has the in-dash CD changer. If the space next to "Load" is blank, the car does not have this CD changer.
