Missouri
-
As of May 2009, the average income for a RN in Missouri is $62,310, according to the BLS, with a range of $38,050 for the lower 10th percentile, upward to $79,260 for the highest 90th percentile. These differences vary due to education, experience and job location.
Considerations
-
The job market for RNs is expected to see steady growth through at least 2018, making the job outlook favorable for those seeking degrees in nursing. The demand for nurses within Missouri is also very high with areas around the metropolitan areas of St. Louis and Kansas City having the most job openings. RNs with experience can also consider additional training to increase their pay and/or become a traveling nurse with higher incomes due to the need to travel where the demand is highest.
